Relationship Goals (part 2)

Mike Pennington

Do we know what makes the perfect marriage relationship? What’s the goal? In sports we know what the goal is: in hockey, shoot the puck in the net; in soccer, kick the ball in the net; in basketball….you get it. The goal is easy. The win is defined. In marriage…not so much.

I recently talked with one couple who said, “The goal of our marriage is to make it to our 30th anniversary.” That’s an amazing milestone, but is that the goal of marriage?

This is week two of our closer look at what God says about healthy relationships. If you’re someone who has struggled or has been deeply hurt in a bad relationship, take heart. The scripture says in Revelation 21:5, “Behold I make all things new.”
