Mark - Come Follow Me (part 8) "Don't be Alarmed"

Will Sohnchen

It's Easter Sunday. For Christian people this is the most significant day on the calendar. It's a moment in time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.  It's a day of hope and new beginnings.

The resurrection is an unprecedented event in history. In the words of C.S. Lewis, “It is a miracle of the New Creation.” Something of which the world had no previous experience at all has entered the old order and altered it. The great reversal has begun.

This morning we will look at the last chapter of Mark's gospel and focus on the words of the angel to the women who arrived at the empty tomb that first Easter morning, “Don't be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here."
