Can God be Trusted? (part 2)

Will Sohnchen

This morning we consider the question, “Can God be trusted?” Last Sunday we addressed this question by focusing on God’s goodness. This morning we want to look at God’s greatness. Max Lucado wrote these powerful words:

“Christianity in its purest form is nothing more than seeing Jesus. Christian service in its purest form is nothing more than imitating Him who we see. To see His majesty and to imitate Him - that is the sum of Christianity.”

I pray this morning we will experience some of God’s majesty and that will inspire us to imitate Him.

This morning we want to look at one of the great questions that people wrestle with: Can God be trusted?

Jesus showed us that God can be trusted by portraying Him as a Father. Jesus begins the Lord’s Prayer with these words Abba Father. And then He uses the rest of the prayer to describe the qualities of Abba Father - qualities that engender trust. We will look at these qualities this morning with the hope that your sense of trust in God will deepen.
